Spacious seaside house
Captain Smith's is in a super central location. Near the beach and just a few steps from hundreds of cool independent shops, nightlife, restaurants and coffee shops. All of Brighton's delights are on your doorstep and inside this retro/Scandi spacious cottage has everything for you and your family and friends. A home from home in the heart of Brighton. Practical, stylish, affordable and the name? Well, a floorboard was found in the house with the name Captain Smith engraved on it. Seemed rude not to name the place after him!
- All white bed linen and towels are provided.
- There is WiFi.
- No parking with the house so come on public transport. It’s close to the train and bus stations. Parking is expensive in Brighton.
- Smoking not permitted in the house.
- The map doesn’t show the location, it’s in Middle Street.
Captain Smith’s is in the heart of Brighton. Everything you need for a fabulous weekend with your family and friends is right on your doorstep. Gorgeous independent shops? Tick. Coffee shops? Tick. Restaurants? Tick. Nightlife? Tick. And the beach and Pier? Tick. A great choice for a small group who appreciate a cool Scandi/ retro interior and want to be in central Brighton.
On the ground floor is a spacious living room with a couple of sofas (one’s a sofa bed, preferably for one, but could sleep two) and a bench. There’s a large LCD TV on the wall (not in the photos but it’ll be where the star light is). There’s a shower room and separate loo on this floor. Then at the back is the kitchen/ diner. A dining table for ten and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Don’t forget we can get a chef for you, have cupcakes or a buffet waiting for you when you arrive or even a vintage style cream tea.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. The first bedroom is a single and you have to walk through this bedroom to get to the bathroom. If this is going to be a problem for the person sleeping here then you could just have it as a dressing room. The bathroom is in two parts. The first section has a his/her twin sink unit with a large mirror and there’s also a washing machine in here. Through here and you come to a bathroom which has a large walk in shower, fully tiled and with a rainfall shower and a loo.
The second bedroom on this floor is a twin room and there’s also a sofa bed for one.
On the second floor, there are two more twin rooms and one also has a Huji cube bed so it can sleep three.
Please note, (as you can see in the photos), the stairs to the first floor are open riser and open to the side. If any of your group have mobility issues then this house may not suit them or they would have to sleep on the sofa bed on the ground floor. It goes without saying caution should be taken with these stairs. It’s an old property with lots of history and high heels on the stairs wouldn’t work!
